Hello and welcome to Intimate Details with Dr Tiff. I'm your host, Dr Tiffanie Davis Henry, and today is Day 24 of The ONE Within 30-Day Journaling Challenge. I hope that you guys are having an amazing time 24 days strong, going through this challenge. I'm super proud that you've stuck with us on the challenge and that you have continued to do the work. I know some of you have kind of skipped around. Maybe you're behind a day or two. Get caught up. Get caught up because we're in the homestretch. We're in the last few days of this challenge and I'm really, really excited to see how you feel at the end of this thing, knowing all of the revelations that you've been able to garner in the full 30 days of the challenge. So just please stick with it, keep going. You can do it. I know you can Listen. If I can do a podcast episode every day for this challenge which, by the way, most of them are lasting between eight and 12 minutes right, but I'm spending like time editing and uploading, writing captions and keywords and tagging and posting and all of those things. So I'm spending an inordinate amount of time like daily on this challenge as well, in addition to going through the challenge with you guys and doing work In your journal prompts five minutes a day.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:We all have five minutes a day. We all have five minutes every day that we absolutely waste. You can do this. Give yourself five minutes, you have it. You can do it. Get it done. Okay, five minutes today. Now.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:Today is Day 24. And I love this prompt today because it's going to tell us a lot about ourselves and it's a it's a fun one. And Day 24 is all about Your Happy Place. Describe a place or activity that brings you complete and total joy. How can you incorporate more of this into your life? Describe a place or activity that brings you complete and total joy. Now, the first thing that came to my mind was my bed. My husband will tell you there has not been a trip that we have gone on where I don't compare the bed that I am sleeping on to the bed that I have at home. I love my bed so much I have a sleep number bed. It is a limited edition sleep number bed. It is not the one that I thought I was going to get. I thought we were going to get an I8. But on the day that we finally went in to get the bed, to put the money down on the bed, they had the limited edition. I slept on. It went back to that. I slept on that. The limited edition was less expensive and I really did like it. So we bought the limited edition and I have not looked back ever since.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:I love my bed. It has foot warmers in it so I can warm my feet. We have I'm telling y'all all about it. I love my bed. We have a split king, which I knew. I wanted a king because I like space. I get hot, so I want, I need a room to mosey in my bed. But we have a split king, which means that it's basically like two twins on top instead of like a full king mattress. But if you put two twins together, that equals king and I thought, ah, I'm not going to want that. You know it'll be split down the middle. Like what if you get caught in the middle? And what about, you know, intimate time. How does that work? Turns out works just fine. It works just fine, but I love it.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:Part of the one of the reasons why I love the full split like this is not a um.

Dr. Tiffanie Henry:Let me tell you, uh, when I have good sleep, um, but I I thought that I would not like it. I thought I wasn't going to like this full split. But what I do like about it is and I remember this from our old mattress, which was a regular, you know, standard king size mattress when my husband would get into bed. I always get into bed first. I usually go up first because I like turn on the TV and, you know, wind down, get my brain settled and all of that he likes to.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:When he he gets into bed, I'm half sleep. When he gets in, sometimes I am sleep but I pretend like I'm not asleep, um, because I don't want him to turn to you. A whole, nother story. But, uh, when he gets in, he sits down on the bed and he takes his socks off and he's just moving around. A full mattress, like a full king mattress, the regular mattress. I would be shaking and he would wake me up because he's sitting on the bed and he's getting up and he's taking his socks off and he's doing this he's doing.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:I used to hate that, but now I don't feel him when he gets into bed. A lot of times he'll get into bed. I have no idea when he came to bed and when he got in, because it's just a smooth transition. So I love that. I love that I can adjust. You know, I can sit up and watch TV, I can sit up and read, I can do the little snore thing to where my head is a little bit elevated. I have a zero gravity position. Anyway, going on and on this has nothing to do, but everything to do.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:The bed is my happy place. It's super comfy, it's perfect. Nothing compares to my bed. Okay, love that. I love that for me. So if you have a place that you. I have gone on six minutes about my goddamn bed a mess. But my happiest place on earth is is the beach. I'm not going to say which beach, because I'd like to keep it my happiest place, because not a lot of people go there. So I'm not going to say which beach, because I'd like to keep it my happiest place, because not a lot of people go there, so I don't want to say where it is. I'll probably disclose that one day, but my happiest place always is on a beach.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:On a beach, I don't even consider some things vacations Like I love to travel. I love to travel, but I don't necessarily consider it a vacation unless I have a beach and probably some sort of beverage, some sort of alcoholic beverage, in my hand. But I love man, I love a beach, getting in the ocean. Yeah, maybe I have another place too and now it's kind of beachy, but I'm sitting on a beach with a little cabana, something over me, so I'm not all in the sun, but a little bit of sun get my little tan on. Just laying out on the beach is something, boy, that's something very close.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:Second to that, that is, this is a happy place for me is being. I love a boat, I love a yacht, but being in the middle of the ocean, jumping in the ocean with my floaties because I'm not trying to swim, okay, primarily because I have a drink in my hand, that is my happy place. In the middle of an ocean, with in the middle of an like an intertube or whatever they call floaty, whatever and a drink, that is perfection to me. That is perfection to me and I've had the opportunity that a couple of times within the past few years and it just it's like the goal is hashtag goals. I want to be in the middle of an ocean, not swimming, not doing any work Okay, on, laid out on a one of those floating rafty things or inner tube, or even a pool noodle. I'll take a noodle, okay, as long as it I don't have to do any work with my drink. That's my happy place and so, part of that, how can I get to more of that? How can I incorporate more of that into my life? Honey, I got to work more. I got to do more work so that I can get to that happy place. This is not accessible. I'm landlocked here in Atlanta. Now, the thing that I can do more of, with the thing that is accessible my bed I can prioritize sleep, which I do. I can make sure that the sleep quality that I get is pristine. So you know I love.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:I've recently, like been really focused on my bedding, getting my bedding together, because the bedding that I have I've had for several years, so getting some new things. I went to, actually, a Sleep Number store over the holidays because they have everything. Their bedding is expensive, but you can get great deals on it. During the holidays, things go on sale. So I went and got some new sheets. I got this velvet coverlet that I'm so excited to put on. I'm probably going to put that on today or tomorrow, you know.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:To make it more cozy, I put some oxygen producing plants in my room. I have a what is that called A snake plant. I think it releases oxygen at night which is supposed to improve your sleep. I have an aromatherapy situation going on in the room. I use this Ooh, this magnesium bar from Lush that I put on my legs at night and I swear by it. I feel like it really does help me sleep better. I have a lavender spray that sometimes I'll spray as a hydrosol that I spray on my pillow. Yeah, so those are the again.
Dr. Tiffanie Henry:All of this is so that I can get as cozy as possible in that bed and never get out. Never get out. I never want to leave, especially when those sheets are crisp and clean and fresh and cool. You ain't get me out of that bed. I love it, okay. I love it, okay, all right. So hopefully you guys have as much fun as I have had today. I have spent 10 minutes talking about the things that I love. I can do more of it. I love that. I love that for us today, this should be a light day. It should be a fun day, and I hope that you can think of some creative ways to do more of what brings you absolute and utter joy.
